Natural products and natural product analogs against therapy-resistant tumors and microorganisms: new lead structures and modes of action
Unraveling molecular resistance mechanisms against pharmacologically active compounds as well as the search for new bioactive compounds that can overcome either intrinsic or extrinsic resistance are core subjects of pharmaceutical research. This important topic will be investigated within the Research Training Group GRK2158 ... read more
Qualification program
In addition to working on the interdisciplinary research projects, the doctoral researchers in RTG 2158 complete a comprehensive qualification programme that includes in-depth interdisciplinary theoretical and practical training in preclinical drug research with a focus on overcoming chemoresistance in microorganisms and tumours, intensive instruction in independent and interdisciplinary scientific work and the acquisition of key qualifications, as well as intensive supervision and involvement in mentoring programmes.
